Your privacy choices
One switch, for one thing.
Our marketing pages carry the Reddit Pixel, which reports visits to these pages to Reddit so Reddit can tell us which of our ads brought visitors. This page switches it off, or back on, for the browser you are using. Nothing of the kind runs inside the Remworth app.
- What it sends
- the page you visited, a random browser identifier Reddit keeps in a cookie for 90 days, a click identifier if you arrived from a Reddit ad, and your IP address and browser details
- What it never sends
- your name, your email, your Amazon data, or anything from inside the app — the pixel is not on app.remworth.com
- Switched off automatically
- when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, neither the Reddit Pixel nor Hotjar loads
- Where the rest is written down
- the Cookie Policy and the Privacy Policy at app.remworth.com/legal
Checking this browser…
The choice is stored in this browser only (local storage key rw_ads_optout) and takes effect on the next page you open. Nothing is sent to us or to Reddit when you change it.
Questions
What people ask about this.
Short answers; the long ones are in the Cookie Policy.
Does opting out stop Reddit ads?
No. You will still see ads on Reddit, including ours. Opting out means your visits to this site no longer inform them.
Does this cover the Remworth app?
There is nothing to cover. No advertising or analytics tool runs on app.remworth.com or on any page showing your financial or Amazon data. That is a standing rule, not a setting.
What about Hotjar?
Hotjar records how visitors use these marketing pages so we can improve them. A Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal switches it off, and Hotjar offers its own opt-out at hotjar.com/policies/do-not-track.
I opted out on my phone. Does it apply on my laptop?
No. The choice lives in the browser where you made it. Make it once per browser, or turn on Global Privacy Control, which travels with the browser.
